Abicalçados Leads Trade Mission to Chile

Scheduled for July 21–22, the initiative will take place  in Santiago

The Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados), through Brazilian Footwear—its export promotion program developed in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil)—will hold the second edition of its Trade Mission to Chile. Scheduled for July 21–22, the initiative will take place at the NH Collection Plaza Hotel in Santiago.

Carolina Eccel, from Abicalçados' Business Department, explains that during the two-day event, the 32 confirmed Brazilian brands will participate in business meetings with local buyers. The meetings have been scheduled in advance through a matchmaking model that aligns buyers' sourcing needs with the offerings of Brazilian suppliers. According to Eccel, although the initiative is relatively new—its first edition was held last year—the Trade Mission has attracted growing interest from Brazilian companies. “The very first edition generated more than BRL 8 million in business. The event delivers excellent returns not only in terms of business generated, but also by strengthening brands' positioning in one of Latin America's leading markets,” she says. Last year's edition brought together 23 Brazilian brands, compared with the 32 confirmed for the 2026 event.

The Trade Mission will begin with a press networking event. On July 21, invited journalists will be introduced to the latest collections from each participating brand.

Participating in the second edition of the Trade Mission to Chile, supported by Brazilian Footwear, are the brands Activitta, Beira Rio, BR Sport, Bkr, Cravo & Canela, Confortale, Democrata, Ferricelli, Giulia Domna, Jotape, Klin, Lança Perfume, Maithe, Manchester, Modare Ultraconforto, Moleca, Molekinha, Molekinho, Novopé, Perlatto, Petite Jolie, Pyramidis, Radamés, Renata Mello, Santa Lolla, Santinelli, Sound Shoes, Sound Kids, Suzana Santos, Vizzano, World Colors, and Zohla.
