Buyer Project at fair in Santa Catarina will likely generate USD 100 thousand

The participation of the group Hanox Fashion Retail, which has two stores in Dubai/UAE, in the footwear fair SC Trade Show will likely yield USD 100 thousand for companies in the industry in the six upcoming months. The number is presented in a report prepared by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados), which promoted the VIP Buyer Project through the Brazilian Footwear, footwear exports promotion program kept
in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The trade show took place in the city of Balneário Camboriú (in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil) from November 5 to 7.

Abicalçados Trade Promotion analyst, Ruísa Scheffel, highlights that, in addition to participating in the trade show, the group's buyer, Radha Nair Kollakial, visited factories in the footwear cluster of São João Batista, the largest in the state of Santa Catarina. She took samples of companies and reported the possibility of future purchases of 7.5 thousand pairs in about two months, likely generating USD 100 thousand," she says. The buyer already works with Brazilian brands, but she did not know many of the brands presented at the Project and was satisfied with the participation. The footwear industry in the state of Santa Catarina is very promising; I was happy to learn more about it, Kollakial assesses, highlighting aspects such as fair price and variety of products.

According to her, the company will go from two to five stores in 2020 and is seeking to expand its mix of products. This edition of the VIP Buyer Product was supported by the Union of Footwear Companies of São João Batista (Sincasjb).
