Brazilian Footwear promotes Brazil's participation on MAGIC, in New York

Brazilian Footwear, a footwear export support program maintained by the Brazilian Association of Footwear iIndustries (Abicalçados) partnering with the Brazilian Agency for Export and Investment Promotion (Apex-Brazil), takes three national footwear fashion brands to take part in MAGIC, in New York. The event takes place between September 19 and 21.

Abicalçados commercial promotion analyst, Ruisa Scheffel, points out that it is the first time that MAGIC, which traditionally takes place in Las Vegas, takes place in the Mecca of world consumption. "The brands' expectation is quite positive, in view of the recovery of the US market and the fact that the event takes place in the center of world consumption”, she assesses. According to her, the recovery of the US economy has reflected in the trade balance of Brazilian footwear. Between January and August, an additional 9 million pairs were shipped to the United States, which generated 133 million dollars, about 25% of the total generated by the industry's total exports. The impressive increases are 55% in  volume and 40% in revenue compared to the same period last year. The representative of Ferrucci in the North American market, Patrícia Pimentel, points out that the expectation is to increase the turnover in relation to the Atlanta Fair, held two weeks ago. "In Atlanta, we performed well. At the New York Fair we hope to have even more sales, with the  opening of new customers and points of sale”, projects Patrícia, pointing out that, for this to happen, they pre-scheduled meetings with international buyers. Our schedule is full”" she celebrates.

The Brazilian brands Ferrucci, Carrano and Schutz participate in the United States fair, with the support of Brazilian Footwear.
