On the Sunday before the 33^rd edition of Couromoda - International Fair of Footwear, and Leather Goods, which takes place in São Paulo, from January 16^th to the 19^th – the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers welcomed the 30 importers who came to the event through the Buying Project, of Brazilian Footwear.
During the meeting, in the Hotel Quality Inn, president Elcio Jacometti greeted the purchasers who came from countries as England, Philippines, Australia, Italy, Russia, the United States, Denmark and Finland.
The consultant of the Association, Mr. Enio Klein, talked on the current situation of the Brazilian footwear sector. "The volume of exports to Italy and United Kingdom is amazingly increasing", he commented.
Beside the importers, the international press was also present at the event, represented by the French publisher Jean Pierre Bidegain, from Chaussure Magazine, by the British researcher Rachel Jones, from the website WGSN, and by the Italian journalists Jose Rivera and Lorenzo Raggi, from Fashion Pelle and Foto Shoe magazines.
